Bugged resolution on OS X

Hello.I can't set the resolution to 16:9 on OS X when playing in windowed mode.
I want to set it to 1280x720,but that cuts a big portion on top of Red Eclipse(it's like you are zooming in).And to set it display fully, you have to use 1280x642,which is not 16:9 at all.Can somebody help me?

Sounds like your monitor doesn't natively support the resolution, try a 16:10 aspect.

Seems to be the same issue as i have.
My tv displays 1280x800, so if i try to use 1280x720, the right side gets cut.

That's weird,qreeves.My MacBook Air's display is 16:9/1366x768.

Yeah, the whole topic is extremely confusing for most end users. Sometimes a display is marketed with a specific feature but doesn't support it in certain circumstances. My HDMI TV doesn't like 16:9 aspect ratios above 1280x720 unless I specifically mark the input as a DVI-PC.
