Ban appeal

Not sure if this is the correct place for this or not, please correct me if I am mistaken.

Anyways, I was banned from the master server for teamkilling. But the thing is, it wasn't on purpose, it was due to my careless use of the plasma gun's alt fire. I didn't see the bots on my team in time, and they all got sucked into the plasma vortex and I was immediately banned. As such, I would like to appeal the ban as the incident was completely accidental, and partly due to the fact that the whole team besides me were bots.

There is a mechanism to automatically warn, kick and eventually ban players for team killing, so this can and will happen without a game moderator to take action. I don't remember for how long such an automatic ban will last, but I think it should be relatively short. But you can still join other servers right? And if you're still banned from the master server while reading this, i guess you could ask on IRC (http://redeclipse.net/chat) for someone to clear the current local bans on that server.

In summary, don't worry too much about this. Nobody banned you in purpose.

Ban length is determined by the server, but it is normally only about 4 hours, so this should have resolved itself by now. Please remember that team killing is detrimental for your team and you get a LOT of warnings before you are finally banned by the automatic system.
