Players disappearing when dead

So lately, every time I've fragged a player, his body disappears instantly. Like, as soon as he's fragged. No ragdoll, no nothing. Just gone. The gibs and flying vanities are still there, but not the player model itself. I'm using 1.5.5. Is this a common issue, or unique to me?

You might've changed some errant setting somewhere. What's in your "config.cfg"? (remember to remove any auth keys)

Nothing obviously wrong with your settings. The players are reset at the end of the match in survivor/duel, also if you do enough excess damage there won't be any ragdoll. Ragdolls only exist while a player is "CS_DEAD" (dead) or "CS_WAITING" (waiting to spawn), and fade out according to the current game setup for spawn delay (if this is zero, or close to it, they will seem to just disappear as well).

I'm not doing more than average damage. I tried the SMG, shotgun, rifle, pistol, and grenades. The thing is, the player's bodies disappear instantly; they don't fade out or anything. They just snap out of existence as soon as they die. Even my own avatar does this. As for spawn delay, I haven't changed it from the default setting.

Me too, is there a reason I did it?

I have no clue :)

But I'll look for a place to put deathanim in the options menu.

EDIT: Done, hope that's okay for everyone :)

People were complainning that they couldn't distinguish dead people from alive players on survivor, of which is quite strange to me. Dead players and living ones are pretty damn easy to distinguish.
