I quite like this. The short descriptions are inherited from the title texts of each mode/mut seems to be the right way to go about it.

It's good, but to actualise the usefulness of this, there should be some easy way to access these aids from the game creation/voting menu.

I think the hover text in the F2 menu (modedesc etc.) is just perfect, as it is concise and clear. However, I see the point of merging these if that gets simpler.
I thought of having a help menu accessible via a default key binding (maybe F1?) to get some more detailed info (scoring) and a quick overview of other muts.
