Hi Forum,
since this is my first map, there may be some hints or ideas you may share to improve things like light, sounds, textures and stuff.



Its layout is mainly for two-party CTF. It can also be used for Duel, DM or DaC.

Its a small map that features different routes between the two main-bases. When you have chosen one route, you dont have to stay on it. There are always minimum two different options. The mainroutes are 1.) Main Floor, 2.) Basement, 3.) Roof, 4.) Around the Building. This makes it attractive for team-modes since besides skill, very important here is tactics and strategy. Its a bit more complex like classic CTF-Maps i.e. Dutility, Darkness...

The outside and the two big halls are very open and sniper-friendly. The basement ist good for close-range weapons.

I see you really improved it, but I think it still have some issues. It's a bit gigantic and I don't think anyone will use the roof since the path through it is really long.

Rotate the alpha spawn points so people don't spawn facing a wall ;)
You could try adding steps or a ladder (a pile of barrels, maybe?) near the basement entrance, and experiment with AI waypoints (map info menu).

Hey, you've made some nice progress with this. Considering you just started with creating maps, that looks really good.

Thanks for mentioning me, but I was just helping you to get started with the technical stuff and menus :)

Concerning the roof route, you could either add some pushers, which is an approach I don't like much. Or you could experiment with some more ladder material, so players can ladder launch on the roof quickly. I don't know, it's up to you.
