Google's index of everything on redeclipse.net is pretty much updated on a daily basis as I use their webmaster tools to monitor site activity.
The default search settings are in place to reduce the risk of server overload. As we are a fairly small forum I have removed some of the restrictions, but allowing small/common words has increased the size of the search index almost exponentially. If it turns out that this has an adverse effect on the server I will have to revert it and insist people use sitesearch.
