Im doing a oneiroi2.0 . Which version should i stick to?

Postby SniperGoth » 16 Mar 2017 12:54

I currently have 2 versions of the map sitting here, but im not sure which one i'll pick to continue working on.
On the daytime version, i used a more realistic colour approach to the lighting.
But the night version has a torus below the map with envmaps, so it simulates a "light distortion effect" when walking around the map, but the daylight one doesnt.
And yeah, im sticking with the black-hole until something better is suggested.
People on RE's discord were tied for both, that's why i bring the question here.

hard to tell without seeing this in action while in game. also one thing seems to look like in original Oneiroi, buildings starts from nowhere (buildings fly in air) - really hard to tell looking at images but you make them appear like these (buildings) are coming out from black hole ?? (if yes then good work)

For now I voted for Daylight version - everything looking nicer when nice lighting (especially sun) present, like in real life

I didn't find a way for the buildings to be more realistic because of the main setting (didn't want to get too far from it), but since i wanted the map to still feel like a RE version of DM-Morpheus (from where the map originally came), i decided to put a black hole under it, to represent from where they "came".
There was a planned extended edition, with a lot of buildings surrounding the map, but it never came off from my mind to the screen :p
